Stitches

Today you Dad get his second set of stitches out of his forehead. The first one was over his right eye about 2 to 3 inches to remove a skin cancer that he had (they got it all). He got a black eye from that one and everyone at the temple was asking him what happened. The second one was to remove a very large mole again on the right side of his forehead in the hairline. It wasn't cancer but very big and deep so the Dr. took it out too. No bruising from this one just the stitches.
The cold weather has been rough on your Dad, no yard work to do but he is keeping busy in the temple now that it is open again. He is trying to do 4 sessions a day Tuesday - Friday. It is part of a "Texas Deal" he made with the Lord. He prayed every night that if I would get my social security and teacher retirement he would work in the temple for him, and the money came shortly.

Ceiling Clock

When we were at Judy and Ryan's house last they had us sleep in their room and we were impressed with two things. The first was when the lights were turn out the time was diplayed on the ceiling in large numbers it was great to be able to see the time without your glasses or asking someome. The second thing we were impressed with was the bed we sunk into the bed and never got up until morning. We liked the bed soooo much that we bought the same brand for ourself a few months after we got home it has been wonderful, I have been sleeping without pain ever since. Your Dad got a ceiling clock radio from Judy for Christmas, he says it was his best gift. We both love being able to see the time anytime during the night.

Boy Scout Dinner Fund Raiser

Last night wast the scout spaghetti feed and action to raise money for the scouts. Your Dad and I made two 32 quart cookers and one cooker that was the size of Rob and Emma black roaster. It was all eaten they ran out of noodles and hand to go to the store to buy more to cook. There must have been 175 -200 people there. The dinner was free. They had a silent action to raise money I took 5 aprons that were made from jean 2 children's, 1 adult with a bib, 1 adult that match one of the children's and 1 out of the butt of a pair of jeans that one went for 25.00. It was a good time for everyone.

I was put in to the new R.S. Presidency as the second councilor in our new combined ward. It has been good for me but it is making me grow too.

Quick Trip to Eastern Idaho

This week I was able to hitch a ride with Judy to see Rob, Emma and 4 great kids. It was a surprise for everyone. Thursday late morning we went on to Janet and Tate's and 4 more wonderful kids. We were back in Boise Thursday night at midnight. It was a quick trip but I enjoyed the opportunity to see everybody again. My legs have been complaining about being in the car so long but that is what happens when you get older.
